Nigerian Music Icon, Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, the son of a music legend, Fela Kuti has finally broken the world record of the longest single note on a Saxophone.
Femi had last week played for 48 minutes, 38 seconds, a record that beat Kenny G’s 45 minutes 37 seconds set in 1997.
It was later discovered that there the longest Saxophone single note was played for 47 minutes and 5 seconds.
Femi Kuti has now set the record at 51 minutes 35 seconds and made this known via his twitter.
“Done.proven. #circular breathing tonight at the Shrine 51 mins 35secs 83mili secs . Now to focus on great song/melodies/tunes” Femi tweeted on Sunday night.
